However, it is generally not recommended to visit Vietnam during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday. During this period, many shops and businesses are closed, some tourist attractions may have limited opening hours or be temporarily closed, and finding restaurants that meet your expectations can be more challenging. If you plan to travel during Tet, it is advisable to make arrangements and reservations well in advance.
Always keep in mind that the weather is erratic and might bring everything from bitter cold and frequent downpours to sweltering heat and evening storms.

You need to be certain of your destination before choosing the appropriate season. You might need to modify your route based on the weather if you only have a limited amount of time to go.

 ITINERARY

In winter, especially in northern Vietnam and mountainous areas, the weather can be very cold and harsh, so it is important to dress warmly.

I advise purchasing a local sim card and downloading a taxi app as soon as you arrive at your first destination because using taxis in Vietnam might be intimidating.
My best advice is to pre-book your airport transfer so that you won’t have to worry about getting to your first accommodation if you want to get started quickly. Even though I frequently visit Vietnam, I still plan ahead for my airport transportation because the cost of automobiles is so affordable and it makes life so much simpler.
